Staying positive is key during these tough times. Your job search may be taking longer than you wanted but now is not the time to get down about it. You need to approach your job search as if it is a job itself. Stay positive work hard at your job everyday and good things will happen. This article on msnbc.com is very good.From 100,000 a year to unemployed.

There are several great ideas to take away from this article. One of the most important items is that if you are still employed now is the time to get that emergency fund together and start pumping money into it. You never know when hard times will come around.

Another thing to keep in mind from this article is to stay positive during your search. Keep your head up and things will eventually get better. Staying positive also reflects well in your personal dealings on the phone or in person when talking to prospective employers. I do not remember where I heard it but when you are on the phone try to keep a smile on your face. It really will make a difference in the sound of your voice to the person on the other end.
